2012 Bay thoroughbred stallion, Powerful Dreamer x Gone Dancing, Breyer Ruffian “American Pharoah” OF Lines to Secretariat and War Secretary. is an ABRB flat racing prospect, raced starting 2018, dated forward as a 2yo.

Golden Danzer was born at Twin Springs Stables, close to Chicago. He has just finished his second season racing: he is one of only a few horses in the entire ABRB to have crossed the million dollar mark, with earnings of $1,016,820. He has 8 wins in total, including 2 G1 level races, one of which is the 3yo R2 Gold Plate Derby. He ended the season by earning Champion 3yo Colt/Gelding for 2019! We are so proud of this special boy!

Danzer Race Record

2018- Danzer got off to a somewhat poor start, which was partially expected due to his pedigree being completely absent of race winners or producers. He had only 4 starts, one of which was unplaced, and he ended the year at the C4 level and with earnings of $18,340. In the period between October of 2018 and January of 2019, Danzer was put on a consistent, and more active training program. It was evident that he matured slower on the track than his stablemates, and thus was given extra training.

2019- This year is when Danzer’s racing really took off! He started it with a C5 win, then went on to Listed Level races, where he got fourth, then a show. We decided to bring him back down to C5 the following month, where he easily won. Then, the unexpected happened- He was entered in the G1 for his age group in the May Racing Carnival, where he placed and qualified for the major event races! The first 3yo Event race ended with Danzer in ninth, which caused us to scratch our heads yet again- is he a winner or is he not?? but that’s when he pulled out a win in the second event race- the Gold Plate Derby! We were shocked and delighted! The back end of 2019 for Danzer came back only in wins- a G1, and two G2’s. His 2019 earnings totaled to $996,480, which put him over the million dollar mark, and he took home Champion 3yo Colt/gelding! 2019 was a stellar year, and we can’t wait to see where he takes us in 2020!

Lineage

Danzer is out of the stallion Powerful Dreamer, pictured below, owned by Twin Springs Stables. His dam is Gone Dancing, whom we could not find a picture for- we believe she may have been sold. Danzer’s pedigree is completely absent of race starters or winners- but does include a vast lineup of model IDs going back generations, especially on his sire’s side, many of which are live show or photo show winners. His real-horse lineage goes back to Northern Dancer and Secretariat on his Dam’s side.
